About Bowland Foods

Bowland Foods was founded in 1979 and has since its foundation, has been owned by the Wood Family, all of whom are still involved in the running of the business, ensuring a personal and efficient service for customers.

The company specialise in quality British Beef Lamb and Pork, the majority of which is locally sourced.

Jimmy Wood is Managing Director with wife Vikki is the Company Secretary and both work within the company on a daily basis. Son Harry Wood also works in the business in particular buying livestock at market.

The Wood family have a farming background and continue their farming interests with Harry's flock of pedigree Beltex, which supply some of the Lamb for the business and their well known Popes Simmentals, one of the top pedigree Simmental Herds in the UK. The family are all noted livestock judges and are highly regarded in the agricultural industry gaining many top awards and sales prices over the years.

Director of Operations and Factory Manager is Michael Joy, who joined the Company in 1999.

The Company is based on the outskirts of Preston in Lancashire and has easy access North and South from the M6 motorway.
